Good news! Kim Myeong Sae finally decided to get baptized! He has a strong testimony of the gospel already, but it was just hard for him to make the commitment to leave Buddhism and some other beliefs that he had. He told us he wants to get baptized before the end of the year. It will probably end up being on Christmas day and then he will get confirmed the next day. He has been progressing really well for a long time. He felt the spirit a lot when he went to General Conference and as he read the Book of Mormon. He especially liked the part in Mosiah where the people are baptized at the waters of Mormon and he wanted to have the same experience and blessings as them. We are going hiking with him today. Hopefully next week we can meet with his family too. I think his kids are all moved out, but hopefully we can at least meet his wife. He's a really good guy. He's kind of retired I think or he only works a little so he does different service projects almost every day.
We have family home evening every week on Wednesday night and we play a game and eat some food and have a lesson. Last week we went in the trees by our church and had a campfire and cooked hotdogs and s’mores. It was way fun! Kind of a new experience for most of the Koreans.
Me and Elder Lee are having fun and working together well.
Everything here's going good. Have a good week!
Love,
Elder Lufkin
